Harvey Park emerged as a southwest Denver neighborhood in the post‑World War II era, when builders developed large tracts of modest ranch homes to house Baby Boom families seeking suburban space within city limits.
In the 1920s, well before the neighborhood was fully developed, bandleader Paul Whiteman built a home on Tennyson Street for his parents near Riviera Lake, and that property—once the site of jazz‑era parties—still stands today as a local landmark.
Over time, Harvey Park evolved into a diverse community where many original homeowners stayed for decades, holiday decorations became a neighborhood signature and younger families moved in for the same strong sense of place.
At Carmody Lake Plumbing, we've been serving this community and surrounding areas like Bear Creek, Belmar, and Green Mountain for over 35 years. We understand the unique plumbing needs of Harvey Park's historic homes and take pride in helping preserve the neighborhood's character while bringing plumbing systems up to modern standards.
